Leeds College of Music is a music conservatoire, one of nine in the UK, delivering courses in music at further education, undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as numerous and varied short courses and a Saturday music school for children aged 9 to 18. It is the only conservatoire in the UK to offer degrees in classical music, jazz, popular music, music production and music business, following a teaching model based around one-to-one tuition, small group study and mentoring by music industry experts.
High quality facilities
The conservatoire is an All-Steinway School, an Apple Authorised Training Centre and also partners with Roland. The high quality facilities, renowned performance spaces and bespoke teaching model enables students to develop the skills needed to become an innovative and dynamic musician, able to contribute to the modern, multi-platform music industry.
The campus at Leeds College of Music is open until 3am, with full access to over 60 teaching and practice rooms, as well as a full range of instruments. The library hosts one of the UK’s most comprehensive jazz archives, as well as more than 10,000 CDs, 8,000 LPs and 18,000 items of printed music, and the conservatoire's performance spaces include the 350-seat venue and 120-seat recital room. In addition to this, there are seven industry-standard recording studios equipped with analogue desks, three mixing rooms and an SSL G Series console linked to the main auditoriums for live studio sessions and recording performances.Find out more about studying at Leeds College of Music.
